ABOUT RAY MERRIMAN:
Raymond Merriman is the President of The Merriman Market Analyst, Inc. and founder of the Merriman Market Timing Academy. He has authored several books on Financial Market Timing, including the 5-volume series on The Ultimate Book on Stock Market Timing”(1997-2017) and The Gold Book: Geocosmic Correlations to Gold Price Cycles (1982), the first empirical study on planetary cycles related to market cycles. Additionally, he authored the first book on Evolutionary Astrology in 1977.
He is the recipient of the Regulus Award for “Enhancing Astrology’s Image as a Profession” (UAC 1995) and the Regulus “Lifetime Achievement Award” (UAC 2012).
Merriman has also served the astrological community for over 50 years, including as the longest serving president of ISAR from 1994-2000, 2002-2008, and 2015-2017.
ABOUT MMTA CYCLES
The Merriman Market Analyst was incorporated on September 28, 1983, at 2:30 PM, in Lansing, Michigan. We know this timing is correct because Raymond Merriman chose it and was present to oversee the stamping of the corporate papers at the Michigan Department of Commerce.
The story of MMA began in 1980 in Tucson, Arizona when Raymond Merriman was introduced to Walter Bressert, legendary cycles analyst and researcher, and began the study of cycles related to commodities and financial futures. By March 1982, Merriman had uncovered over 60 correlations to Gold prices, which were published in “The Gold Book: Geocosmic Correlations to Gold Price Cycles,” the first quantitative research effort on the correlation of planetary studies (aside from solar/lunar studies) related to financial markets. A newsletter was also started, forecasting what Merriman thought was happening – and would happen – to Gold prices in the near-term, based on these correlations. The first issue of the MMA Cycles Report started out with 35 subscribers.
After one year, the MMA Cycles Report grew from 35 to 350 subscribers, MMA was incorporated, and Merriman became a CTA – Commodities Trading Advisor – registered with the National Futures Association (NFA) and the Commodities Future Trading Commission (CFTC). Ray’s new career as a financial market analyst and financial market timer had begun.
